EXPLORE THE WORKFLOW
01See recurring legal work in one operating view

A founder or finance leader needs to know which matters are open, which dates are approaching and who is accountable. LegalGuard is conceived as an operating model for that recurring work, bringing contracts, permissions, notices and intellectual-property follow-up into a common decision rhythm.

  • Group work by matter, owner and business impact.
  • Distinguish a date to watch from an action to approve.
  • Escalate the items that could interrupt operations.
02Turn a contract queue into decisions

Unreviewed agreements often sit between sales, procurement and legal with no clear next move. The proposed queue would make the commercial purpose, counterparty position and exceptions visible so the right person can approve, negotiate or request specialist review.

  • Capture the deal objective and deadline.
  • Record non-standard terms and their owner.
  • Keep approval separate from document preparation.
03Keep permissions and rights on the calendar

Licence renewals, trademark actions and employment-document updates have different triggers. A useful LegalGuard plan identifies the source document, responsible team and lead time for each event; it does not assume that a reminder itself satisfies a filing or legal obligation.

  • Check the underlying requirement before setting a date.
  • Collect evidence early for a renewal or response.
  • Confirm completion with the relevant authority or adviser.
04Route notices and risk to the right reviewer

A legal notice requires more than a red status label. The business needs an owner, preserved evidence, a response window and a decision on whether advocacy or specialist advice is required. LegalGuard should connect that decision to the wider business record.

  • Log receipt and service details accurately.
  • Separate allegations from verified facts.
  • Agree who can approve a response or settlement.
USEFUL TO KNOW

Before you begin.

Would LegalGuard replace our in-house lawyer?

No. It is positioned around visibility, ownership and follow-through. Legal judgments, advice and representation remain with the appropriate legal professionals under an agreed engagement.

Can we include licences across several locations?

A scoped plan can map the business activities, locations and relevant permissions. The requirements and filing responsibilities must be checked for each authority; a generic calendar is insufficient.

What happens when an open notice is urgent?

The first step is to preserve the complete notice, identify the actual response deadline and escalate for qualified review. The form and timing of any response depend on the notice and jurisdiction.

Scope and availability

LegalGuard is a proposed business legal operating product. A live command center, automated risk radar, reminders, SLAs or subscription coverage are not promised here. Any managed work or legal advice depends on an agreed scope and professional review.
